Why Choose Elite Moving for Removals to Copenhagen
Planning Timelines and Budgeting Removals to Copenhagen

Planning Timelines and Budgeting Removals to Copenhagen

Good timing is one of the keys to a good move. For removals to Copenhagen, we suggest you start planning 4–8 weeks in advance, so there is time for every step.

Typical costs:

  • One-bedroom flat: priced on volume, distance and dates

  • Two-bedroom home: priced on volume, packing and access

  • Family home: priced on volume, packing and any storage

These guide prices change with how much you have, the time of year and the services you choose. Moves in summer or at holiday times may cost a bit more, while flexible dates can often cut the cost.

We also offer low-cost storage solutions if you need more time before you move into your new home.

Removals to Copenhagen: Your Questions Answered

What paperwork do I need to bring my things into Denmark?

Danish customs will want to know what is coming in and why. Most families give a full packing list, a copy of their passport and a lease or deed for the Copenhagen address. When you are taking up residence, household goods you already own may enter tax free. We complete the forms together and confirm the latest Danish rules.

Is it hard to move into a flat in central Copenhagen?

Many homes in central Copenhagen are flats in older blocks with steep, narrow stairs and small lifts, or no lift at all. Some streets are busy with bikes and have little room to park. We ask about your building early and plan the right van, the right team and any tools needed for large items.

Can you move my bike to Copenhagen?

Yes. Lots of people bring their bikes, as Copenhagen is so easy to get around by bike. We wrap the frame, protect the gears and secure it in the van so it does not move. Let us know about any bikes when you ask for a quote, so we can plan space for them.

How do you protect fine art from the cold and damp on the way to Denmark?

The drive runs up through Germany and then over the water to Zealand, by ferry or by the long bridges across Denmark. In winter the van can get cold, and Danish air is often damp. We crate paintings and wrap antiques in layers that keep out moisture. At your Copenhagen home, we let crates sit for a while before opening, so cold frames do not gather damp. Antiques should be listed clearly for customs, and we check the current rules for very old pieces.

Vijithan and the team at Elite Moving were very helpful and efficient at helping us move to Europe from the UK. The quote was also fairly reasonable.

I would recommend!

I had an amazing experience with Elite Moving. They really saved my life. I had an emergency and needed to move within the week without ToR and Vijithan worked late the night that I got in touch to get it all sorted out, and remained in contact the entire time. The move itself went smoothly, and all my goods arrived 2 days after in tact. Definitely recommend!

I requested quotes from multiple removal companies, but from the first call with Vij, I knew I was going to choose Elite Moving.

I used Elite Moving for my move from London to Amsterdam, and the whole process was incredibly smooth. Vij was always available by phone to clarify any questions, even during weekends (I know, not ideal, but I truly appreciated it!). The removal team was very friendly, took excellent care of all my items, and were especially careful with those classified as 'fragile.'

Delivery was incredibly fast, and the value for money was exceptional. I have nothing but positive things to say about this company. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them for any type of removals, both within and outside of the UK.

We recently used this removal company for our move from London to Hamburg, and we couldn’t be happier with the service! The team was absolutely amazing—professional, efficient, and incredibly friendly from start to finish. They handled everything with great care and made what could have been a very stressful experience feel smooth and manageable. Communication was clear throughout, and they were always willing to go the extra mile to help. Highly recommend them to anyone planning a move, especially internationally. Thank you again for making our transition so easy!

The team were absolutely brilliant, couldn't have asked for more. They were super professional, well organised, good-humoured and considerate during a stressful day for me, and made the whole experience much better than I was thought it would be. They didn't stop all day and everything was taken care of. Everything carefully packed, furniture disassembled and re-assembled at the other end, very careful to avoid knocks and scrapes.

All in all a great service and very much appreciated. I hope I won't be moving again in a hurry but when I do I'll be calling them.
